VCC"s CNX 460 Series Cable Assemblies is a component part of a 10 mm LED panel indicator system. CNX 460 Series Cable Assemblies are used with VCC"s HMC or watertight HMS Series lenses and customer supplied LED to provide an attractive, economical and mechanically and electrically sound panel indicator solution. The cable is pre-assembled with wires and terminations that simplify the manufacturing process and reduces labor/assembly costs. The CNX 460 Series Cable Assemblies are available as a single indicator unit that accommodates two or three lead LEDs or as multi-unit cable harnesses.
Common indicator light assemblies with threaded bodies are installed through the front of a panel and secured with a nut. Because the panel openings are only as large as the body of the lamp assembly, wire terminations i.e. ring terminals, connectors or attachments to a cable harness must be accomplished from behind the panel after the lamp assembly is installed. This requires the technician to use tools to secure the assembly and make the electrical connections. Generally, this must be accomplished in restricted working areas. VCC"s CNX 460 Series Cable Assemblies install from the rear of the panel without tools, eliminating the installation problems common with other types of panel indicators.
