The LM4780 is fully protected utilizing "s Self Peak Instantaneous Temperature ºKe SPiKe™ protection circuitry which completely safeguards its outputs against over-voltage, under-voltage, overloads, shorts to the supplies or GND, thermal runaway and instantaneous temperature peaks.
