The is a single channel, FlexCap adjustable output low dropout LDO linear regulator in 5 pin TO-263 package. This FlexCap regulator has unique compensation that allows use of any type of output capacitor with no limits on minimum or maximum equivalent series resistance ESR. It responds very quickly to step changes in load which make the device suitable for low voltage microprocessor applications. Developed on a CMOS process utilizing a PMOS pass transistor the LP38502ATJ-ADJ has low quiescent currents that changes little with load current. This device is featured with enable pin.
