The is a fast ultra low-dropout Linear Regulator operates from a 2.5 to 7V input supply. This ultra low-dropout linear regulator responds very quickly to step changes in load, which makes it suitable for low voltage microprocessor applications. The LP3876-ADJ is developed on a CMOS process which allows low quiescent current operation independent of output load current. This CMOS process also allows the LP3876-ADJ to operate under extremely low dropout conditions. It features 80mV at 300mA and 800mV at 3A typically load current ultra low-dropout voltage and 1µA typically quiescent current when the shutdown pin is pulled low.
