The microprocessor µP supervisory circuit will monitor and control the activities of +3V/+3.3V µPs by providing backup-battery switchover. The backup-battery voltage can exceed VCC and permit the use of 3.6V lithium batteries in systems using 3V to 3.3V for VCC. This device is used in embedded controllers, intelligent controllers, battery powered computers.
