The is a power supply monitor with reset in 8 pin DIP package. This device provides a system reset during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. The RESET goes low when VCC falls below the reset threshold and holds the µP in reset for 140ms minimum after VCC rises above the threshold. The RESET output needs to be in correct state with VCC down to 1V. It provides excellent circuit reliability and low cost by eliminating external components and adjustments when used with +5V, +3.3V or +3V powered systems.
