The from Products is a low power battery backup circuit in 10 pin µDFN package. This supervisory circuit reduces the complexity and number of components required for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in microprocessor µP systems. The device significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to other ICs or discrete components. The MAX16033 provide µP reset, backup battery switchover, power-fail warning and chip enable gating features. It operates from supply voltages up to 5.5V. The device features a manual reset input and chip enable gating. It also includes a powerfail comparator and offers an active-low push-pull reset. Applications include portable/battery powered equipment, POS equipment, critical µP/µC power monitoring, set-top boxes, controllers, computers, fax machines, industrial control, real time clocks and intelligent instrument.
