The E is a Peelable Coating Mask, flexible and solvent-resistant latex for masking components, connectors and other items during a conformal coating process. PCM ensures that sensitive items and areas requiring further processing are not coated. It is particularly suitable for protecting areas from ingress of conformal coating. It is also suitable as a spot mask for wave soldering. Masking should take place between the cleaning and coating process. PCM should be applied to the area being masked to a thickness of at least 1mm to enable easy peeling after coating. Dry at room temperature for at least 2 hours. This can be accelerated by heating to 60°C for 30 minutes but some discolouration of copper may occur.
