The is a single channel, fixed output three terminal positive linear voltage regulator in 3 pin TO-263 DDPAK package. This device is designed for a wide range of applications including on-card regulation for elimination of noise and distribution problems associated with single point regulation. The internal current limiting and thermal shutdown essentially make this regulator immune to overload. In addition to use as fixed voltage regulator, the device can also be used with external components to obtain adjustable output voltages and currents. It can also be used as power pass element in precision regulators.
