AVX has expanded the overall tantalum capacitor series to now offer 15 EIA case sizes to better accommodate designs with limited height and space requirements. This expansion has also resulted in extended temperature range from -55°C to 200°C and voltage range from 2.5V to 50V. The larger case sizes offer capacitance up to 1500µF and small case sizes offer high CV in a minimum footprint and low profile packages as low as 0.6mm. AVX offers Professional Tantalum Chip Capacitors, TRJ Series, with twice improved reliability and robustness against higher thermo-mechanical stresses during the assembly process. The DCL is reduced by 25% to 0.0075 CV for a CV range of 0.1-470µF / 6.3-50V.
