These metal in bags have a buried metal layer that won"t scratch off and provides superior durability. With greater than 10 lbs. puncture resistance, the bags will reliably protect most components. These bags have greater than 40% light transmission, which allows for identification of bag contents. Static dissipative properties are built into the bags, which won"t wear off and are not humidity dependent.
Statshield® bags are packaged 100 per package in an oversized shielding bag rather than a cardboard box. Therefore, bags are not exposed to water vapors that will degrade the metallized shielding layer. The bags have an additional layer of barrier protection because of our packaging. Ideally, ESD bags should be stored in a dry, well ventilated room with a reasonably consistent temperature of 20 °C and be protected from exposure to direct sunlight, ultraviolet sunlight, moisture, or heat.
