These EP Housings allow the use of optional Contact Retainers to give the TPA feature which prevents "backing out" under random vibration as well as helping to insure full insertion of the contacts. The small 2.5 mm pitch of the EP connector provides a solution to the problem of high density PCBs. The EP 2.5 system provides a polarizing tabs, locking latch between housings or housing and header and asymmetric shaped contacts to prevent mis-loading.
