The BS9522 F0017 series Miniature Bayonet Lock Connector with gold-plated copper alloy contacts and a polychloroprene rubber inset. The connector shell is machined from solid aluminium bar stock - not forged or extruded as in competitive designs. Machining has inherent advantages in terms of strength and adaptability. The normal shell finish used, which has a high resistance to corrosion, is zinc cobalt olive drab. It has shell grounding spring fingers.
