Tyco Electronics has replaced the difficult-to-apply, labor-intensive gasket by bonding it to the header assembly. Connector will not shut unless all contacts are properly inserted. This product upgrade also eliminates purchasing and inventorying an extra part — the gasket. Superior environmental sealing makes these heavy-duty connectors not only waterproof, but submersible as well. Integral latch firmly holds mated connector halves together without the need for additional hardware. Housing assemblies are available in 2 through 12 circuit versions and are intended for wire–to–wire and wire–to–device applications.
