These SAS-3 backplane SMT connectors retain existing SFF footprints while increasing data transmission speed to 12 Gbps to meet high Signal Integrity SI requirements.

Molex has also released U.2 SAS/PCIe right-angle plugs and vertical host receptacles that meet 12 Gbps SAS and 8 GT/s U.2 PCI Express speeds suitable for Solid State Drive SSD applications. These interconnects combine the latest enhancements of SAS-3 and U.2 technologies.
