The thumb latch mechanism and chunky keyway allows for easy connection and disconnection. Back fittings enable either half to be panel mounted or sealed to a cable. A flange can be added for bulkhead mounting. Loose contacts can be soldered or crimped. The plug half is provided with a cap to protect the contacts when the mated pairs are uncoupled.
