SMC Corporation Element for AMG350 series Water Separator
The AMG has no filtration rating because the unit is not designed to remove particulate matter from the air line. The AMG should be preceded by adequate filtration to prevent its element from prematurely clogging. The water droplet removal rating for the AMG is at 100% humidity at its full rated flow. Its ability to remove water droplets does not diminish with lower flow rates. Increasing the pressure will not increase the humidity. If the air pressure of water saturated air is increased, water will condense out first in the form of miniscule droplets that are small enough to be suspended in the air. As the process continues, the droplets become coarser and eventually settle as visible drops of water. It is the water in a liquid form, such as mist, that the AMG can remove from the air.
