The is an evaluation board for AD5245 devices. It contains a parallel connection and software allowing the AD5245 to be controlled from a PC. The AD5245 is a 256-position, I2C, single channel digital potentiometer, sometimes referred to as an RDAC. The AD5245 can be controlled digitally by a microcontroller, DSP, or microprocessor via a 2 wire serial interface that allows multiple modes of operation and adjustment. The evaluation board simplifies control of the RDAC by PC software programming such that no programming skills or languages are required. The AD5245 provides a compact 2.9mm x 3mm packaged solution for 256 position adjustment applications. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as a mechanical potentiometer or a variable resistor. The low temperature coefficient makes this device ideal for high accuracy and stability variable resistance adjustments.
