HL series resistors for inexpensively dissipating larger amounts of power in DC or low frequency AC circuits. Special applications include grid resistors, voltage dropping resistors, high voltage bleeder resistors in power supplies, bias supply resistors, voltage divider networks, filament dropping resistors, load resistors, and shunt resistors. Steatite core is chemically inert and will withstand severe thermal shock and is impervious moisture. Element is highest quality copper-nickel alloy or nickel-chrome alloy, depending on ohm value. Special high temperature silicone coating, cured at much lower temperatures than vitreous enamels. Tinned leads. 5% resistance tolerance. Adjustable types, styles, tapped, non-inductive, additional ohm values, wattages, tolerances and lead styles available as custom order.
