By only needing an input voltage of 2.8 V with a maximum of 5.5 V, this is the best way to control the power in your circuit. At a load regulation of 0.35%/VTyp and line regulation of 0.04%/VTyp your circuit is capable of maintaining a constant voltage level at your output.
