The is a Low-voltage Adjustable Precision Shunt Regulator with specified thermal stability over applicable industrial and commercial temperature ranges. Output voltage can be set to any value between VREF 1.24V and 18V with two external resistors. When used with an optocoupler, the TLVH431 is ideal voltage reference in isolated feedback circuits for 3 to 3.3V switching-mode power supplies. It has a typical output impedance of 0.25R. Active output circuitry provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making the TLVH431 device excellent replacement for low-voltage Zener diodes in many applications, including on-board regulation and adjustable power supplies.
This device has limited built-in ESD protection, leads should be shorted together or the device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
