A rocker switch is based on the back-and-forth action, wherein one end rises while depressing the other. This leads to one side of the switch being on and turning the other side off. The markings used to denote on and off are "1" and "0" respectively. The rocker switch is used in a wide variety of applications including agricultural machinery, construction equipment, military and commercial aviation, marine applications and medical instrumentation.
