With No Dead Zone, the area above the top and below the bottom beams to the top and bottom of the SF4B light curtain structure. Response time of 14 ms for any length light curtain and up to 3 cascading light curtains. The light curtain can be easily installed and placed close to a pinch point or hazard. Operating range is from 7 to 9 meters, NPN or PNP outputs can be selected.
The SF4B Series Light Curtains offer many advanced functions including Channel Select Muting, which allows only the beams that product will block to be disabled while the remaining beams will remain active for full protection. Floating Blanking — 1, 2 or 3 non-specified beams can be deactivated and Fixed Blanking — This allows specific beam channels to be selectively blocked, without causing the control output OSSD to output the OFF signal. When used properly, muting can help accelerate industrial processes while protecting personnel from potentially hazardous situations. Combine with ELCA Functionality to Reduce malfunction due to Mutual interference and extraneous light with two systems.
An External Device Monitoring function and a Manual or Automatic Reset are built into the SF4B, eliminating the need for a safety relay in most instances.
