The EA-PS 8000 T series microprocessor controlled Laboratory Power Supply covers state-of-the-art technology. It is provided with a memory function for five different pre-set values, with the ability to save and recall these just by the push of a button. Thus frequently used settings are at immediate reach to the user. The equipment uses an active power factor correction circuit enabling worldwide use on a mains input between 90 and 264VAC. The 1.5kW models are derated, i.e. power reduced to 1kW at input voltages less than 150VAC. Models with 1kW or higher output power are equipped with a flexible auto-ranging output stage which provides a higher output voltage at lower output current or a higher output current at lower output voltage, always limited to the maximum nominal output power. Therefore, a wide range of applications can already be covered by the use of one unit.
