The SMR Series is a metallized polyphenylene sulfide film capacitor with vacuum-evaporated aluminum electrodes. Radial leads of tinned wire are electrically welded to the contact metal layer on the ends of the capacitor winding. The capacitor is encapsulated in self- extinguishing material meeting the requirements of UL 94 V-0. Typical applications include automotive and other applications with high ambient temperatures, as well as those requiring high stability and low losses. The capacitor offers excellent sound quality in audio applications.
